Network and Systems Administrator(s)

NOTE: this is a position near Austin, TX and will require you to live in the greater Austin area as physical client visits are vital to our concierge service.

General Accountabilities and Responsibilities


Install, configure, troubleshoot client and internal IT infrastructures.

Design, implement, and troubleshoot small-to-medium business Cloud solutions.

Advanced enterprise email configuration and troubleshooting.

Accountable for adherence to general security and Capstone Works' specific configuration standards.

Accountable for writing and maintaining client and internal documentation.

Accountable for disciplined attention to accuracy of time and utilization record entry into our PSA.

Accountable for maintenance and testing of Backup and Disaster Recovery protocols.

Accountable for maintenance and testing of Incident Response protocols.

Provide sales support as consultant and infrastructure architect.

Communicate high-level technical concepts and solutions in a meaningful way to people with little IT knowledge.

Troubleshoot and diagnose and mentor Jr Engineers to resolve issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, Hyper-V/VMWare, SAN technologies, Exchange clustering, SQL clustering, etc.

Daily collaboration with other staff members.

Accountable for Quarterly goal setting and delivery.

Accountable for Continual education and certifications.

Serve as escalation resource for service engineers.

Willingness to perform help-desk tasks when necessary.

Participate in on-call rotation (serving once every 6-8 weeks).

Occasional travel within TX in support of remote client locations.

Occasional weekend and evening work.

Occasional travel for training.

Required attendance at our annual weekend company offsite retreat.


General Required Qualifications.


Powerful communication skills, dealing with internal team and client concerns.

proven history of being unshakable under stress.

3-5 years' in the trenches with proven understanding of:

VMWare

Hyper-V

TCP/IP

DNS

DMARC

Azure applications including Active Directory

Intune

Exchange

O365 Administration.

2+ Years in a MSP/TSP environment (and loving it!)

Heavy emphasis on networking - firewalls, switches, hubs, patch-panels, nodes to network.

Strong background and desire to grow in cyber-security.

Certifications in any/all of the above, or any relevant technology not mentioned.

Bachelor's degree in any field
